Information we handle
Website visits. Our website is a static site hosted by Cloudflare. When you visit it, Cloudflare may process technical information needed to deliver and protect the site, such as your IP address, requested page, browser and device information, approximate location derived from your IP address, and security signals. We do not have website accounts or contact forms.
Messages and professional contact. If you email us or speak with us through a professional channel, we handle the information you provide or make available there, such as your name, business contact details, role, company, message, and correspondence. If we contact you first, your business contact details may come from a public professional profile, a referral, or an existing business connection.
Research conversations. If you volunteer for a research conversation, we may keep notes about the issues you discuss and your professional context. We will discuss any recording or transcription with you before it happens. We will not publicly attribute comments to you or your company without permission.
Please do not send passwords, production credentials, financial account numbers, or other sensitive information in an initial message.
How we use information
We use technical information to deliver, maintain, and protect the website. We use contact details and correspondence to respond, arrange conversations, evaluate whether we can help, and manage a potential business relationship. Research notes help us understand engineering problems and develop our services. We may also use information to meet legal obligations, protect our rights, or respond to lawful requests.
Participation in research is voluntary. You may decline a question or end a conversation at any time. A research conversation does not create a client relationship or a commitment to buy services.
Cookies, analytics, and browser signals
The site code does not use advertising pixels, third-party analytics, marketing cookies, embedded forms, or third-party fonts. Cloudflare may use cookies or similar technologies when needed for security or delivery, depending on the features enabled for the site. We do not use information from this website for cross-site behavioral advertising, and we do not sell personal information.
Because the site does not run advertising or analytics tracking code, it does not change its behavior in response to browser “Do Not Track” signals. Third-party sites linked from this website, such as LinkedIn, apply their own privacy practices when you visit them.
Who may receive information
Cloudflare provides website hosting, delivery, and security services. Google Workspace handles our email. These providers may process information for us under their own service terms. If you choose to schedule or attend a call, sign an agreement, or make a payment, the scheduling, meeting, document-signing, or payment service used for that interaction may receive the information needed to provide it. We may also share information with professional advisers or other service providers when reasonably necessary for business administration, with your permission, or where required by law. We do not provide visitor or contact information to advertisers or data brokers.
International processing and security
Our providers and business contacts may be in the United States or other countries. Information may therefore be processed outside your country of residence, where privacy laws may differ. We use reasonable measures to protect information under our control and limit access to people who need it for the purposes described here. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
How long we keep information
We keep correspondence and research notes while they are relevant to an active conversation or business purpose, and afterward only as reasonably needed for follow-up, recordkeeping, legal obligations, or disputes. Technical information is retained according to the settings and policies of the relevant hosting and security provider. You can ask us to delete information that is no longer needed; some records may need to be retained where law or a legitimate business need requires it.
Your choices and requests
You can contact us to ask what personal information we hold about you, request correction or deletion, or object to further outreach. We will consider and respond to requests under applicable law and may need to verify your identity before disclosing or changing information. If we send you a commercial email, you can ask us not to send further marketing messages.
Children and other websites
This website is intended for business audiences and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through this website. Links to other websites are provided for convenience; their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
